Community

Positive stakeholder relationships with parents and the community help students achieve success.  The following outlines my strategies for fostering parent /community involvement and developing meaningful partnerships that last.
 

Procedures for working with parents and the community to improve student learning:

  • Develop relationships with community partners including businesses and faith-based organizations

  • Monthly newsletter

  • Monthly event calendar

  • Updated social media presence and website

  • Ongoing teacher/parent contacts

  • Quarterly open house opportunities

  • Utilize school-wide "all call" including phone calls, emails, and text messages

  • Promote booster clubs, develop relationships, and communicate specific needs

  • Monthly PTA meetings

  • Open-door policy

  • Encourage community involvement in performances
